Arang Kel is a village and tourist spot in the Neelam valley of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Arang kel is a village 2kms away from the town of Kel. It’s 8379ft above sea level. Getting to Arang Kel is quite an adventurous mission. But as soon as you interact with one of the local people, you realize that this piece of heaven on earth has also seen its dark days. Arang Kel, is right at the border of Pakistani and Indian administered Kashmir, and couple of years back this serene land was bomb shell graveyard.
Instead of all these lush green fields, you saw bombs and missiles and bullets, but as soon as the situation deescalated these people, put all of that behind them and carried on with their peaceful life. Kel is a village in Neelam Valley, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located 155 kilometers (96 mi) from Muzaffarabad (Capital city of Azad Kashmir) at the altitude of 6,879 feet (2,097 m) feet.
Kel is known as a kail because this place was a center of Pakistan’s national animal Markhoor which is known as kill bakra (a goat like animal which kills) in local language. The Kel is located near Line of Control and the road which leads there is non-metallic. There are frequent landslides during summers, and Snow slides on this road during winters. In winters all the routes are blocked and it is very difficult to reach there. All these factors combined made it one of the most difficult places to reach. You will see glaciers when you are travelling from Sharda to Kel.
There is also a small village, and tourist spot in the Neelam valley of Azad Kashmir named Arang Kel. It is located on the hilltop above Kel at the altitude of 8,379 feet (2,554 m) feet. We will talk about Arang Kel somewhere in a separate post here soon.
ارنگ کیل
ارنگ کیل ایک گاوں ہے جو نیلم ویلی آزاد کشمیر میں واقع ہے۔ ارنگ کیل کیل شہر سے 2 کلومیٹر دور ایک آسمانی گاؤں ہے۔ یہ سطح سمندر سے 8379 فٹ بلند ہے۔ ارنگ کیل تک پہنچنا کافی مہم جوئی کا مشن ہے۔ لیکن جیسے ہی آپ مقامی لوگوں میں سے کسی سے بات چیت کرتے ہیں، آپ کو احساس ہوتا ہے کہ زمین پر آسمان کے اس ٹکڑے نے بھی اپنے سیاہ دن دیکھے ہیں۔ ارنگ کیل، پاکستانی اور ہندوستان کے زیر انتظام کشمیر کی سرحد پر واقع ہے، اور چند سال پہلے یہ پر سکون سرزمین بم شیل کا قبرستان تھا۔ ان تمام سرسبز و شاداب کھیتوں کے بجائے آپ نے بم، میزائل اور گولیاں دیکھی، اور لوگوں کو تنزلی کا نشانہ بنایا ۔ کیل وادی نیلم، آزاد کشمیر، پاکستان کا ایک گاؤں ہے۔
یہ مظفرآباد (آزاد کشمیر کے دارالحکومت) سے 155 کلومیٹر (96 میل) کے فاصلے پر 6,879 فٹ (2,097 میٹر) فٹ کی بلندی پر واقع ہے۔ کیل کو کیل کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے کیونکہ یہ جگہ پاکستان کے قومی جانور مارخور کا مرکز تھی جسے مقامی زبان میں بکرا (ایک بکری جیسا جانور جو مارتا ہے) کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے۔ کیل لائن آف کنٹرول کے قریب واقع ہے اور وہاں جانے والی سڑک کچی ھے۔ گرمیوں میں بار بار لینڈ سلائیڈنگ ہوتی ہے اور سردیوں میں اس سڑک پر برف باری ہوتی ہے۔ سردیوں میں تمام راستے بند ہو جاتے ہں اور وہاں پہنچنا بہت مشکل ہو جاتا ہے اور جب آپ شاردا سے کیل تک سفر کر رہے ہوں گے تو آپ کو گلیشیئرز نظر آئیں گے۔
